Grade 1 Communicating Hana-Gala Door Knob Mortise Set from the M Collection The communicating function has a lever on one side of the door and a blank plate on the other. A second door can be placed on the outside jamb with another communicating lock, thus allowing passage through the doorway only if both doors are open. The privacy function is locked on the outside when a button is pressed on the inside. Rotating the inside lever or hitting the button unlocks the door making it panic proof. An emergency release in the outside lever unlocks the door as well.
