The corridor function provides push-button locking from the inside and by a key on the outside. When locked from the inside by the push-button turning the inside lever or closing the door will release the button. When the lever is locked by a key it can only be unlocked by a key. The inside lever is always unlocked providing panic proof exiting. Vandlgard- is designed to disengage the outside spindle from the latch when in the locked position. The locked outside lever freely rotates up and down while remaining securely locked.
